I think I’ve read arguments that Belle was more of a “prisoner” in the life she had outside the castle, in that she was the town weirdo because she didn’t conform. She fits right in at the castle, which is literally filled with people who are now societal outcasts.

To be frank, I mostly associate diversity with quality now. Not that every movie with diversity is good, per say, but if it has no diversity I basically assume the quality is probably not there in general. It just seems like if you’re not being lazy and basic in your casting and writing it should occur naturally.

Fellow Canadians keep telling me how lucky we are, not to be stressed about Trump because we’re in Canada etc. but I think if we get comfortable and complacent it could just as easily be us. So, I will start by saying that I pay money to legally have HBO. BUT I pay a crap ton of money because in Canada, we don’t have HBO Go or HBO Now or whatever. The only way to watch HBO is if you add the channel to your cable package because Bell (one of our ISP’s) owns the rights to HBO Canada.
