Every time someone says, “Well, he IS successful buisnessman,” I want to kick them in the teeth.

It’s terrible. I feel ya sista!!
Looking at homeless people IS gross but I don’t see him putting forth any solutions. Luckily I actually have a plan for that problem!!!
The idea that successfully holding down a job and making rent entitles you to complete freedom from perceiving the unhappiness of others is so breathtakingly narcissistic.
“I shouldn’t have to see the pain, struggle, and despair of homeless people to and from my way to work every day.”
This is a great article, but I wish you addressed PCOS or Endometriosis and the chances of getting pregnant, because it is much smaller and harder.
I moved to the East coast from the West cost in fall of 2013 and have been flying to visit pretty much once every three months. I’ve flown; pregnant, with a baby, with a toddler(same kid just older), and with my husband who had a very severe fear of flying.
It’s a metaphor! The wealthy are symbolically poor people. And take back means “continue to steal!” It all makes sense if you've studied literature.
Somebody wants to be VP, doesn’t she? I hope she keeps traveling the country and falls into a sewer.
Sooo they definitely weren’t allowing her at the debate then.
While I suspend my candidacy today, I will continue to travel this country and fight for those Americans who refuse to settle for the way things are and a status quo that no longer works for them.
Seriously. These are incredible books. I can’t believe so many people are misled by the covers and the sexist idea that a book with a female protagonist (who, NB, is a public intellectual/author) has to be for women. It’s so disappointing!
That’s what I learned in my middle school youth group at church. I’m so glad that Elizabeth Smart has spoken out against teachings like that, because it’s so important that we stop teaching religious girls that their value is solely wrapped up in their purity.
Yes! I had an opportunity with my 5 year old son yesterday when he wanted to cuddle with his sister but she did not want to (she wasn’t feeling well). Those sorts of moments are perfect for teaching him that when someone tells him they don’t want to be touched, he has to respect that.
All I can say is Fuck NINO. He should be played by someone terrible like Shia LaBeouf
Right on, r.e. consent! I teach my three-year-old son about consent all the time. Opportunities arise all the time that are not about sex but make the point. Just this morning, for example, my son was trying to put his foot in my face repeatedly (charming! haha), and I said no. He asked why, and I explained that it’s…
I came home from school in second grade after a classmate told me she was only going to have robot babies because she was never going to let a boy put his penis in her vagina. As soon as I got home I asked my parents as I assumed that this girl had it all wrong. My parents, much to their credit, simply said that this…
My mom was this way when I was younger. And for whatever reason she totally loosened up once my little sister was in high school and they can happily talk about anything sex-related while I still just... can’t. And they both act like I’m the weird prude, which sucks. Sorry, you can only be told how disappointed God…
