I want to smooshe Blue’s face in a way she would probably hate but I would be just wedding drunk enough not to care.

So-called sovereign citizens exhaust me. They take bits and pieces of law, history, etc., and turn it into justification as to why they don't have to abide by the law. Most of them are not "crazy" (in the mentally ill sense), but a subculture unto themselves. Mostly, they just make me tired.
can you use it at any gap-owned store or just the gap gap?????
I am a cooper skinned afro caribbean girl with a shaved head, and I think I would look wonderful in those.
Third time I’ve told this story but it sadly never stops being relevant:
I have a few defining moments. I was walking in the mall with my step-dad and little brothers and some dude (at least in his twenties, maybe thirties) walked past me and yelled some sort of cat call. I was about 12-13 at the time. I still remember the look of absolute murder my step-dad gave that man.
Ugh. Yes. This comment section should pretty much come with a trigger warning. Christ, it is depressing. Story after story and so much of exactly the same narrative.
I remember getting told to “smile!” since I was in elementary school, and it only occurred to me later on what that’s really about. I also remember using AOL Instant Messenger (remember that?) in middle school, and talking to someone who kept asking whether I had a webcam, and suddenly realizing that they weren’t…
Around 9, that’s when my folks started restricting my behavior. That the benevolent sexism issue. I couldn’t be comfortable at home without receiving a comment about “attracting attention” as if it was my responsibility to control what happens in someone elses mind. Then my boobs came in around 14 and the real gross…
I was 10 and my best friend’s 16 year cousin told her who then told me that he was “saving himself for me”. What the hell was I supposed to do with that information?!
Yeah, to echo others quoted in the article, it wasn't so much "guys" or "dudes" checking me out as full-grown adult men. Most preshus memory: 30-something man in car checks out my chest approvingly and yells "what are you, 15? 16?" I was eleven. I didn't wear form-fitting clothes until my mid- to late-twenties.
Reading this story and stories like it, it’s reeeeaaaaally hard to not think that a lot of men are gross pedophiles. I don’t want to start something because there are a lot of great men out there but the amount of stories here with older men leching on young girls is disturbing.
I lived within walking distance of my school when I was 12. A friend and I were walking home from play practice when a truck full of middle-aged rednecks pulled up along beside us, slowed down, and started hooting and whistling. Not that it should matter, but we were both late bloomers...there wasn’t a lot of boob or…
This topic makes me want to barf. Not that women shouldn’t be telling their stories about the topic, but the weight of it, voice after voice about how awful it is (and I know, it’s awful. 6 years old here, family member, yadda yadda, trauma)... it’s making me sick.
In my mind’s eye, I just kicked your parental figure in the shins. You don’t get to buy a kid items of clothing and then shame them for wearing those items >:(
Wearing shorty shorts at a carnival when I was maybe 13 at the oldest and a grizzly old guy commented on my legs. I was terrified and called home and my parental figure said that’s what I should expect by dressing like that. Said parental figure bought the clothes for me.
Thank you for adding that 2nd story as a palate cleanser after the first. The knife thing...ewewewewew.
Hope they quit the US when Hillary wins.
Yeah. I’m with you. I always kind of had a thing against talk show hosts and this format in general but he just seems so damn happy and grateful to be doing what he’s doing and for some reason that makes me smile and I end up enjoying it. I certainly don’t watch regularly but when I do, I’m all about it.
