For me, it’s my own thoughts. My brain will start playing parts of songs or asking questions about unrelated things.

Can we talk about the awful font choice that makes most items illegible?

True story. My husband worked IT at a big box store. (Guess which one!) He said as busy as Black Friday was, Saturday was worse with people returning all of the crap they had just bought. The first week of January was bad, too, with returns from the Black Friday crap that broke because it was cheap.

Once when my SO was out of town, I made pasta with chicken and a savory pumpkin sauce. I don’t remember exactly what I put in it beyond onions and cream, but it was delicious.

My grandma used to send us treats every Christmas when we were little. The two I remember were divinity bars, which I still can’t eat to this day, and treasure chest bars, which were the best thing on earth. I think they were basically a chocolate chip cookie bar with nuts, dried cherries, and maybe some other stuff

Heck, if you go back even further, Much Ado About Nothing and Taming of the Shrew could both be classified as romcoms.

Now playing

That dancing’s pretty funny, but I liked the song better when it was called Slow and Steady.

I don’t need accuracy; I just need a direction. “There’s a Pidgey 3 steps north. There’s a Ratatta 1 step west.” You’d still have to walk to find it, but at least you’d have an idea.

I love cooking and can make all kinds of things, but I can’t cook rice. At all. Either the consistency isn’t right or I end up burning it. It sticks to the bottom of the pot and boils over when I put the lid on (even using butter and oil around the rim). Knowing how versatile rice cookers are makes me want to get one.

In the education world, we call them “attention getters;” just something to grab the kids’ attention right off the bat. Last time I presented, I did this through an icebreaker related to the topic (I taught about the benefits of play and had participants draw something about themselves).

Ooh, HitRecord Season 2!

Ooh, the Grand Am! I loved that car. Until the passenger side started flooding every time it rained. And I had to slowly replace everything under the hood piece by piece. I like to say it committed suicide (a teenager turned left across a light into it while I was going straight).

This car broke down every month before the engine finally died in the middle of a 2-hour trip, several miles from anywhere. I present the worst decision I ever made: a 1989 Ford Probe.

Mmm...nothing’s quite as refreshing on a hot summer day as a nice steaming cup of heatstroke.

This is something I’d get at a fair, but definitely not from fast food.

This is an interesting article you might like (yeah, I know, Forbes). I haven’t tried it, but it sounds reasonable to do both the online application and one that’s mailed in. http://www.forbes.com/sites/lizryan/…

So much easier said than done! I’ve spoken up before to a coworker and she tried to run all over me. Another coworker said I was “controlling,” even though I only spoke up a few times about things that were really bothering me. I took the second to the admin, but nothing really got resolved. What do I do in that

Would it be better to get a small loan through the credit union and then show up at the dealership? I’ll need to think about getting a new car in a few years (I’ve had mine for almost 8 years).

That’s awesome that you quit! Sounds like you’re really making a positive change for yourself.
