I used to microwave it with milk according to the directions that were on the box. One time I put it in my favorite dinosaur bowl, mixed up 11 minutes with 1 1/2, and ruined both bowl and cereal.

Now playing

You just reminded me of an old radio show where the trick-or-treater got invited into the house for some delicious JELL-O! (sponsored by Jello, of course)

Offer not valid in AL, AR, HI, IN, LA, MN, MO, NC, TX, UT, and WV.

What about PDQ’s honey butter chicken sandwich, though?

I miss Mike Fahey and his reviews on Snacktaku.

Fantastic article. Something else to keep in mind is that you don’t need proof to report; even a suspicion is enough. It’s your job to report and theirs to figure out what really happened. If you suspect something and talk to your child about it, you also need to be careful how you ask the child; memories are easily

I’ve heard the name; is this recipe typical of what it is? https://www.thespruceeats.com/traditional-bubble-and-squeak-recipe-435202

Here you go. I wasn’t familiar with it until this video, done by one of my favorite YouTubers!

Robot Turtles is really good, too, and teaches coding! The rules don’t say it’s cooperative, but I always play it that way at first with my students.  It’s really great to see them deal with a team member making the wrong moves and learning to help them.

I liked the orange! I remember asking my mom for more.

This is why I would love to see standalone McCafes. They would serve pastries, coffee, and breakfast all day and would be a direct competitor to Starbucks. I was heartbroken when I had a pregnancy craving for a McDonalds BEC biscuit at 3pm and was told no.

I’m not proud of this, but I used to have one. Every time I drove, it would bang my car and make a thump.

I’ve always loved Santa Claus, the Movie with Dudley Moore as a disgruntled elf who sells magical toys to a bigshot in New York. It’s more heartwarming and kid-friendly than it sounds.

That was our tradition growing up, too, and probably will be with our kid as well. He’s much too little to understand anything about Santa, but I don’t want to link his gifts to behavior.

I’ve always loved reading, but hated English classes. Sometimes the books were good, but I finished them right away and didn’t take notes so I could remember the information for the tests later; I’m sure the teachers thought I just never finished them. I never got the metaphors in stories like Old Man and the Sea. But

I like to add 4 oz of orange juice, 4 oz of water, a tablespoon or two of brown sugar, and some mulling spices (whole cloves, orange peel, cinnamon sticks) to my cranberries. It’s a great balance of spice, tart, and sweetness.

The international aisle and Asian markets have good, cheap spices.

Just a reminder that if you like scavenger hunts, you can become a GISH gnome and also help out charities with Misha Collins. https://www.gish.com/ Registration is closed for the next one, but he does it every year.
