I guess this was my next question. Is the problem rooted in the actually coaching and instruction or how youth soccer is setup. Opinion seems to be the latter.

I never played soccer, got into it when I was “older”, around 20. My question is what about youth us soccer is flawed. I genuinely ask because I have an 8 year old son who has ONLY wanted to play soccer since birth (shout-out to FIFA and gaming with ur kid). He’s always played very well (don’t wanna be *that* dad).…
