After reading up more on this brouhaha, yes, you’re absolutely right - fair point.

The lack of innovation is an absolutely fair point. It’s kind of funny that the Pokémon formula seems so same-y and perhaps even a little tired after all these years, while Dragon Quest (another series that is true to its old-school roots) still feels fresh enough to me all these years later.
I love Pokémon, and have been playing the games on-and-off for twenty-three (!) years now, but I’m having a hard time fathoming the rage that Pokémon Sword/Shield and Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl have generated.
I learned this the hard way with Pokémon GO. When I first started, I felt the need to raid every boss, do every event, and catch every new spawn. The game slowly but surely started to take over my life, until I woke up enough to scale back and make adjustments so that I could play in a healthier way.
Counterpoint: While this is one of the best 4k TVs that money can buy, you’re not going to be really able to appreciate 4k fully on a 48' inch screen.

Ah, yes, another new creepy and invasive product from Meta, the assholes that gave us Facebook. Pass.
He’ll make great music wherever he goes. I’m excited to hear/play what he does next.
To answer second your question, yep, it’s available on last-gen consoles including Switch (via streaming).
Shouldn’t y’all be working just a bit harder to disguise your sponsored content? This “article” is a pretty blatant ad.
I’m okay with it because:
People who complain endlessly about sword-wielders are about as annoying as 1st party purists and Geno stans. We get it, Fire Emblem burned you out on well-coiffed, counter-adept, blade-wielders. Give it a rest, because whining is really tiresome.
I mean, it’s not unreasonable to assume that Skyrim will be ported to the fridge at some point.
It’s also really cool to see him follow his own advice and branch out to other projects as well. I’m not quite hyped about Final Fantasy XVI just yet, but knowing that Yoshida is involved with it has me convinced that it’s going to be, if nothing, a really well-designed experience.
It’s worth noting that the save data from the Switch version of this game unlocks an exclusive song in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

I mean, Sora wasn’t spectacular for me personally, because I burned out on the Kingdom Hearts games years ago. I’d have preferred Riku myself as a series rep.
Sakurai has earned retirement if he wants it.
Smash Bros. fans really have mastered the art of finding ways to complain even when they receive something spectacular. It’s honestly impressive.
Haha, some of them could definitely stand to have been omitted (and probably would have been if not for the “Everyone is Here”) tagline.
I’m not a Fire Emblem fan myself, so I wouldn’t be heartbroken to see nay of them go (except maybe for Lucina). I’m 100% in agreement that there are too many Links though, lol.
This hand-wringing over sword fighters is honestly pretty dumb, as many of them play quite differently from each other (with the exception of Marth and crew). Hero, for example plays nothing like Link, who, in turn plays nothing like Cloud.
This entire episode was a whole lot of petty corporate bullshit, and I’m glad they both lost.
