The only thing that has me excited about console Iteration versus Generation is that backwards compatibility will be basically assured. Yeah, eventually I won't be able to play PS Pro6 games on my PS4, but there’s no reason I can’t play baseline PS4 games on the high end systems.

I think this entire thing of updated consoles is going to hurt Sony and Microsoft in the future console reveals. Why buy day one when you can wait a couple years and get the updated equivalent AND an actual library of games.
