You know who the real superheroes are? The teacher. The factory worker. The single mom working two jobs to feed her kids.
Not that the US tax code being a fucking mess is news to anyone who has encountered it but, wow, the US tax code is a fucking mess. I’m pretty sure that tax credits should ideally incentivize companies to create things, rather than uncreate them.
One questioned that seemed to frustrate him was whether or not he had ever talked to her on the phone while he “audibly urinated in the bathroom.”
“You can’t see me . . . in my new movie because it’s been shelved as part of a tax write-off!”
Nationalize Warner Bros.
Fuck David Zaslav.
Too late: I grew up with Homer strangling Bart and, since I am someone who always does what cartoons show me, I now strangle every child I run across.
Nah. I don’t care if Pavarotti loved it, it’s a crap remake. It’s so “look at me, I’m raging and full of pain” that it’s just ridiculous. A Monty Python level skit.
I’m with LexW. I thought the Swordsmith Village arc for Demon Slayer was good/very good, but not great. A little let down by the climax.
The entertainment district though was ooof fire!
I feel like it’s rather weaker than the earlier Demon Slayer arcs. Not bad, but not as sharp or entertaining.
i don’t like it. i had enough overwrought power ballads in the 80s.
I love her videos, and enjoy what she’s had to say about a ton of songs, but sorry, a voice expert deeming someone’s singing technically accomplished is not really a clinching argument that automatically makes the cover good. In fact it’s the bombast and show-offy “vocal power lifter” aspect of the guys’ performance…
Stop trying to pretend subjective opinions are actually objective. IDC what a pro opera singer/voice coach thinks, I still won’t like the song.
He doesn’t like black people.
Yeah, those two pretty much discredit the entire list. Sure, some people think the originals are untouchable, but you could find 2,500 covers worse that AAF or Disturbed.
Pearl Jam’s “Last Kiss” is good and Alien Ant Farm’s “Smooth Criminal” was a lot of fun. Why are they here?
I’m convinced that the editors of the AV Club sincerely have zero taste based on AAF’s cover of Smooth Criminal being on this list.
Will to Power fucking rules. This list is ass.
