"I think it's just that the generation that invented "microaggression" was licking their chops at what they thought was an old-timey, 1930s style racial injustice and just couldn't let it go."

Very true. There are an awful lot of people out there whose mindset is that if you "disrespect" a young man like Trayvon, by keeping an eye on him, he's got every right to beat you up.

I'm familiar with Black Wall Street. We both know that in the past whites were openly violent toward blacks in the US, that wasn't at issue. I'm talking about in society today.

I liked some of your comments, particularly regarding "beating someone against concrete" being distinct from standing near someone, or merely being black, which is what a lot of people would love for us all to believe is what got Trayvon shot… and it was indeed disappointing for South Park to continue that false

What is this thing which happens frequently?

Blacks in the US today are several orders of magnitude more racist, sexist, and homophobic than whites.

You should spend some time looking up cases where people died from one punch. You don't even have to look very far back, there have been several in the last few years alone. Was it intentional on the part of the punchers? No. Does that matter? No. And keep in mind, they weren't even using concrete.

I agree, this case was the worst media malpractice I've ever seen. We lost the ability to sneer at the Italian media's ridiculous, sensationalist witch hunt on Amanda Knox when our media did the same to an innocent man who'd defended his life.

Not true, though. Look up Roderick Scott.

I agree. It was a perfect opportunity to lambaste the media, and they seriously deserved it for their handling of this case.

1.) Most of us who support the verdict and felt Zimmerman's actions were reasonable don't hold him up as a hero. Personally, I don't even like the guy. This isn't about him, it's about the law being adhered to rather than set aside to appease ignorant hordes who want blood.

Sure, although before I start I must point out I find it interesting that you are "judging me pretty viciously" - and I'm inclined to suspect that this is another case (and boy are there a lot of them) of someone who is letting emotion and a false narrative about this case guide them, rather than logic and fact.

Been a fan of South Park and The Onion since the beginning of both, and I enjoyed this episode. I had a good laugh at even the parts where Zimmerman himself was shown, despite them painting his case in the same ignorant light the media and a lot of people here still seem to view it in. I don't have a stick up my arse

I was pretty disappointed in this movie. Maybe I'm just getting old and grumpy but I had a lot of the same issues with it that I have with most modern action films. Issues I had with Iron Man 3, Star Trek 2, and even most heart-breakingly, with The Hobbit. Too loud, too frantic, too much CGI, can't go 20 seconds
