This is great advice.  When I came back after a long break (multiple long breaks.  I’ve been playing since Vanilla and sometimes you need to not play for a while) I just told people I’m restarting etc.  And I always listen to others who are starting back up or for the first time.  Best bet is to say you’re coming back

I’m always on my best ha. I’ve been a raid officer since early Vanilla. And yes, there is more scrutiny at those levels and should be. Never said otherwise.  But you have to give newbies and returning players some slack and understanding doing your average dungeon run.

It’s much, much better now. Far less toxic than it was then (I mean, I still leave gen chat most places but that’s more because it’s spammy vs the slurs et all it used to be). Now with LFR/LFG being much better with better matching AI it’s way less toxic. It’s much more common to have a normal, fine dungeon run than

I know and agree with that, but that isn’t what my comment is about.  I’m responding to the comment that the community is still horrible about gear et all.  When it’s a lot less horrible.  It’s not about other dynamics in the game at all.

Yeah, Chanukah feels incomplete.  I also wish you could light one candle at a time instead of all of them.  Even just a dreidel-esque Simlish spinning top game and a latke recipe would be nice.

It has though, honestly.  It’s not as bad as it used to be, especially if you’re just doing LFG/LFR.  If you’re in a Mythic or a full organized raid you may get that kind of scrutiny but not so much when you’re leveling or doing the everyday kind of dungeons.  I think generally it’s better now.  And when you hit level

Agreed.  Usually people are pretty chill about gear.  And if you wind up with a jerk, block them and wait for a new run.

How does desparation negate sexual harassment? Plenty of old folks can easily obtain consensual sex. If a desperate person harasses, assaults, or rapes anyone their desperation doesn’t suddenly make it okay.

Gods I love Hey Qween and Lady Red Couture especially.

The show aired.  It’s not at all tantamount to the government censoring your show and disallowing it from airing.  It’s on.

Going to copy my later replies from a dismissed thread in case anyone wants to learn more on the different kinds of plagiarism. It’s complex! I actually only mention three here and there are more. It’s an interesting thing to learn about, IMO:

“No, it’s not at all difficult to plagiarize even if you cite something.

Darling, don’t dish what you can’t take.

Oh child, take a nap.  And dream of a world in which you’re right.  Anywho bye now.  OP is aware it’s plagiarism.  Night night

Great rebuttal to my facts. One day you may learn more about the wide variety of how this can be done. I’d agree with you, but you seem to not know what paraphrasing plagiarism is at all and then I’d have to ignore basic definitions and the most common form of it. Good comeback! lol What a fantastic response to

And honestly again the school should have taught you about Paraphrasing and Mosaic kinds of plagiarism.  Some schools focus only on Direct and the vast majority of plagiarism is the kind you did, Paraphrasing.  They didn’t give you those resources to develop your own essays etc so honestly it’s pretty on them. If you

No, it’s not at all difficult to plagiarize even if you cite something. Lightly changing the wording directly from the source is still plagiarism. It’s a form of both Paraphrasing and Mosaic Plagiarism. You may be thinking solely of Direct which is hardly the only kind. If you literally put it as a quote and cite the

Yeah I thought most US schools had this.

Yeah that’s their bad.  I don’t judge you for what you did.  You were young and made mistakes.  Your teachers should’ve done better.

Nope. This is an actual example of plagiarism. No judgement on OP though. That shit happens. But it is plagiarism. That’s not how you write research papers lol. .
