Every Bolt owner I’ve spoken with raves about their little car.

My CR-V’s range is approx. 400 mi. on a tank of gas. That’s plenty of my commute and for roadtrips. The Equinox range is hella acceptable for me and I will never have to deal with the maintenance issues faced by ICE vehicles.

It’s in the same price range, if not lower, than Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4. Of course, it’s probably not as reliable as a Honda or Chevy, but I’d probably get one of these so I never have to worry about a CEL, oil leak or transmission issue ever again.

Why do people buy them? Constantly it seems.

I’ve been flying for 50 years and only once did the airline lose my bag (they delivered it to my home that evening).

As long as pedestrians are prohibited from crossing at those intersections, I am ok with it.

How many of these vehicles - especially the Honda and Toyotas - are only available after a dealer markup?

IIRC, the federal government created Conrail in 1976 to take over bankrupt freight railroads in the US and eventually turned a profit when Conrail’s assets were turned over to CSX and Norfolk Southern.

I am not a fan of the cops by any mean, but I have zero sympathies for these fucks on ATVs and dirt bikes who ride illegally. I’ve seen the damage they have wreaked in my favorite parks and I’ve almost been run over by them walking down the street. 

Thanks for mentioning the zipper merge. I was traveling south on I-95 through Connecticut last week (which is awful in many ways) and the left lane was closed for construction. In 2021 my teenage son and I cleaned out our savings accounts to purchase him a 2013 Subaru Crosstrek from a dealer 50 miles from my house. The car had 200k miles but was clean and ran beautifully.
