Wilmington, DE?

I’m sure if you asked most GOP primary voters about guards torturing prisoners at Guantanamo Bay and holding them without trial, the responses would range from “who cares about those [racial epithet]s?” to “keep up the good work.”

I usually avoid the GWB at all costs. I’ll drive north to the Mario Cuomo Bridge or south to the Lincoln Tunnel and those routes are often faster if I need to head east of Manhattan from NJ. If I’m headed into Manhattan proper, the bus or train would be preferable.

Your first point is spot-on. I review bills for a public agency and I can’t believe what private engineers and attorneys bill our organization. We could do it so much cheaper if we had our own engineers and attorneys, but big government = EVIL and private sector = GOOD (not to mention campaign donations from engineers

Exactly. My lawn is green. I really don’t care if there are patches of clover or crabgrass growing here and there. I mow it once every 10 days with a mulching mower and that’s it. I will usually pull destructive invasive plants like English Ivy, Ailanthus, white mulberry and oriental bittersweet.

Shiplap was trendy in 2008.

It took me three seasons to enjoy Better Call Saul. The first two seasons seemed like tedious law firm inside baseball to me.

Ugh, why use shiplap? You are replacing one out-of-date decorating style with another.

I was an outdoorsy guy with 1 kid and my Mazada Protege hatch was able to fit all of our camping gear for a weekend at the state park and drive right up to our campsite without issue.  Heck, it was much easier to load and unload kayaks from a car than from a SUV.

My elderly mom buys packs of Hot Wheels cars and hands them out to little kids in her apartment complex as gifts. Adults get scratch-off lottery tickets. Everyone loves my mom in that building LOL.

Gave away my old video games because no one wanted to buy them.

I agree with you and used to think that such behavior was all for show.

Yeah, if you are busy with other things, owning a home is a massive time suck. After a few years, I loathed my house. There was always something that needed fixing and I dreaded coming home at times.

Realtors love to scream “BuyINg iS sOOoo MUcH cHEApeR tHAn rEntiNg” and I guess it is if you can put a substantial down payment on the house. They often fail to mention that property taxes, routine and not-so-routine home maintenance, utilities and insurance can often mean a larger monthly bill than paying rent.

Train derailments are surprisingly common, but freight railroads operate almost invisibly in our daily lives.

Can you imagine if the Tahoe killed the two podcasters?

The prices of new & used cars (and almost everything else) have skyrocketed since 2020 while wages fail to keep up with inflation. Rising interest rates aggravate the problem for borrowers.

Sheesh, a $1 bill is what I used to pay my strippers with in 1991.

Also stay away from comments relating to age.
