I don’t live near the Arctic Circle so the sun sets no earlier than 4:28 pm in the winter where I am. My kids are out of school at 2:30 pm and it’s still light at that time. Granted when they are in an extracurricular activity they would be home in the dark whether we are observing standard time or DST.

If we kept DST all year round, my kids would be walking to school in pre-dawn darkness. There are too many idiots on the road who can’t even drive well during the daytime. No thanks.

I almost pulled the trigger on a 2007 Legacy GT wagon until I saw the pathetic gas mileage and lack of an AUX for my iPhone.

To summarize: the vast majority of PEZ dispensers are virtually worthless, and those that aren’t either fetch a few bucks on eBay or can command upwards of $100.

I drive a 2015 CR-V and it’s plenty big to fit the dog and some teenagers and all of our gear on weekend camping trips, but TBH its more car than I need right now. My next Honda will probably be a HR-V because automakers just keep making their vehicles bigger and bigger every model refresh.

Everywhere I go I keep a few dog treats in my pocket. My pooch has always been food motivated and they help tremendously with training.

The story also needs to consider the total tax bill and how it compares to annual incomes. New Jersey is among the wealthiest states in the US and purchasing a traditional a 1960s split level home for $800,000 and having a $20,000 annual property tax bill is the norm in many idyllic Garden State suburbs. The pain of

The state mandated a 2% property tax cap about a decade ago.  I can’t even find a new story about property tax hikes that steep in NJ. Did you put an addition on your house?

selling the most run of the mill cars for MSRP or over

I mean the guy got 4.2 million votes the last time he ran for statewide office so there’s that.

I read your post in my best Dukes of Hazzard  voice.

I had to Google what “crawfishing” meant other than catching crawfish in the river.

I visit a friend’s house and I almost immediately get runny nose and watery eyes upon entering because there are dust bunnies everywhere. Her kitchen table is 3/4 covered with mail and packages (some opened, some not) so it’s almost impossible to eat there.

If you have a messy and/or dirty home, I’m spending as little time as possible there, regardless if you are a morally upstanding person or not.

The photo looks like 1950s knotty pine paneling which was the rage at the time and still looks cool and fun in a Leave it to Beaver way. The 70s stuff was cheap trash but knotty pine paneling looked great and was durable.

I owned a 1890s Queen Anne. The appropriate wallpaper looked awesome in that house.

We drove that thing for miles along sandy roads in the woods. It moved like a champ w/little effort.

I owned a 2008 Element and miss it terribly. With the seats flipped up it held a gargantuan amount of cargo and was a perfect vehicle for camping. The mini suicide door also made it easy to get people and gear out of the vehicle. The only cons were terrible gas mileage and uncomfortable rear seating.

When I purchased my home in 2000, I had an ARM. IIRC, I think the APR was $7.25%, which was incredibly low at the time. As we know, interest rates mostly dropped over the next 20 years and I was able to refinance my mortgage several times.

The Fit has deceptively roomy interior space when the rear seats are down.
