I read this headline as "Awesome Time 100." Which is an awards ceremony I'd actually want to watch!

I think it's somewhat disingenuous to talk about his "ugly views about weight" by quoting someone else, rather than the man himself. Here's what he has to say on the subject - [slog.thestranger.com]
When my guy and I started dating, I really didn't want to use the terms "boyfriend" and "girlfriend," which sound juvenile and/or possessive. So we started referring to each other as "my slam piece," which was the most hilariously awful substitute we could think of!
I LOVED Blanchett's Givenchy. It was striking, beautiful, and really suited her. I would take it any day over another boring Marchesa crumpled-napkin dress!
I watched this episode, but I didn't even notice that it was a fake Joni Mitchell song - I guess it sounded pretty convincing! She needs to make an entire spoof album, stat.
@Melissa Kathryn: I think you have a point - that good parenting comes from being fair when doling out punishments, and bad parenting is abusing the power dynamic. But when it's a question of the law, I think it's best just to say that parents shouldn't willingly inflict pain on their children.
I used to get my mouth "washed out" with soap if I lied or said a swear word. It probably only happened 3 or 4 times in my entire childhood, but the smell of particular soaps still makes me gag sometimes.
Juju for president!
This reminds me of something recently written about Dan Savage - [joemygod.blogspot.com]
Precious Mirelle = whatsherface from ANTM! so some of them do get work, after all.
@charliewhatnow: ha! i was just looking for this clip to post!
@HidingInCanada: took the words right out of my mouth!
I went to school with these guys, but didn't know them well. A friend once tried to set me up with Adam. Thank goodness I wasn't interested and dodged that bullet!
So glad Sarah Palin is teaching those family values.
@BlueBeard: Troll alert.
@elephantom: Think about how small the airplane seats are. I've sat next to someone who was maybe 350-400 lbs, and it definitely encroached on my space, quite a bit.
I can only imagine the kind of humiliation that Kia suffered from this treatment, and I wouldn't wish that upon my worst enemy. The proportions on airplane seats are ridiculous - for big people, for tall people, etc.
Natalie Gal?!? You mean NATASHA from ANTM?? She was my favorite contestant of all time! So glad she's... um... going places?
@property of rascal (the cat): Several times I tried (without being too direct, or she'd flip out) to suggest things like "hey, the counselors here are really good. If you ever feel like you're having trouble, you should talk to them." She'd just glare at me.
