So you’re saying you prefer people that didn’t get captured?

It’s a troll. And a pretty effective one at that.
In fairness, I am a lawyer and I hate lawyers sometimes. Most of the time, even.
Volume discounts are a legitimate business tactic. Now if the postal service is losing money on the deal, that’s an issue the postal service should rectify, but I don’t see how negotiating a good deal is a fault against Amazon. Amazon has a lot of business practices you can go after them for, but seeking a discount…
Yep. It’s particularly common for jobs that require you to fill out a form rather than provide a resume. These have been jobs wanting five or more years of experience, too.
In my program you did not have to do a clerkship or anything between years. It’s just you’d be crazy not to because it’s a good way to get contacts and start building a legal resume, plus if you aren’t doing it for credit, a lot of places pay. Or used to. I was doing a joint degree and took classes during the first…
Yeah except most parents of new parents are likely still working (mine sure are), and I know for me at least I don’t have any friends that could watch my theoretical kids during the day because they, too, would be at work. My grandparents are all dead except for one, and he’s in no shape to do anything. A good portion…
It’s easy to forget the wide range of teenagers out there. My teenage self had some cringeworthy moments for sure, but she also participated in sit ins and walk outs, wrote letters to the editor, and cared deeply for social justice. No adult enticed me to do any of that—in fact, many actively discouraged me.
Yeah of I had read this first I would have had a very different impression from what I got from the Guardian article about it. This is why you should always read the source links and maybe a few others you find on your own.
Well, in fairness to the men that lurk here, we just recently had the drama where people were coming down on male posters for “taking up too much space” here. Not exactly encouraging for participation.
Yeah, if someone needs a time sensitive answer, they better call.
Yep, I usually just clean mine out when I get home from work and it’s fine. Never had to change it in a public restroom, but a friend of mine had to once. That was only because she forgot she had it in and so didnt take care of it before she left for the airport. I could see it being an issue if you were traveling…
I do house a dog, and I 100% agree with all of those. My dog has been attacked twice by dogs that people let run off leash where they shouldn’t be run off leash (and incentally bitey, aggressive dogs should not be off leash anyway). People can be pretty inconsiderate.
What on earth is happening here? This comment section is way more negative than usual.
For what it’s worth, I like those. It’s interesting to see what’s happening across the pond. But I am just a lurker in the grays.
Is this really a thing? I find Mortal’s UK posts fascinating. He keeps getting upvoted which is why his posts would be at the top a lot (or my understanding of how comments display anyway). We’re mostly bored people posting at work because our jobs suck, right? Why are we suddenly so intense about who is getting…
I had that happen for a visit to my PCP. They reported my visit as being with a doctor that wasn’t in my insurance company’s system at the time of care, so even though the office was in network, they treated it as out of network. I didn’t find out until I got a bill a year and a half later and spent hours calling the…
Splatoon 2 for me. Other people I know are still going through Zelda and Mario for all the secrets.
YES. I don’t really taste this in things like chili, but someone told me to cook my spaghetti squash in a crock pot and while it worked like a charm in terms of cooking it nicely, it got that weird metallic taste.
That first statement depends on the state. Some states are one-party consent for recordings.
