Yup. The still frame is from video taken on the boat. That one should be around somewhere too.

On any other day, you wouldn’t be wrong for thinking that.
Ah, that’s right. Thank you
I think it was. It was in 2013 at one of the east coast 24 Hours of Lemons races.
What’s worse than hitting a deer going to the track? Hitting one while on the track.
very clearly a broken tie rod on the driver side when they pull the front clip off. I’m sure that wasn’t helping the “go straight” part.
Wait, really? My 2012 WRX with ~80 less HP gets to 60 in the same time. Is this thing really that much heavier? I was seriously hoping it would be quicker than that.
For the record, just drill the plate to match the Japanese holes. You’ll never get a second look. The dealer was kind enough to not drill my front bumper on my WRX for american plates. 4 years with the modified plate in the japanese spec holes and not a problem. I think it’s technically not ok to modify the plate, but…
There should be a balance. trying to make cars idiot proof isn’t the right approach. If you want a drivers license you should have an ounce of desire to not be a menace on the road.
This one. Whole bunch of people saying “I suck at driving and paying attention, good thing my car does that now and I don’t have to”
Hey look. a bunch of ideas that just continue the trend of not requiring the driver to take any part in driving. They’re like that asinine mercedes commercial with people admitting they can’t recognize when they’re leaving their lane, but their car saved them.
Not sure what you mean about not being able to hang out in the pits? Only race I ever felt didn’t have enough pit space was Monticello. Everywhere else has tons and I’ve never been bored in the pits.
Oh, you were involved with the sorry for party racing incident. That as less trying to go 5 wide and more someone not watching their mirrors and turning into them. I don’t think you’re right about offs though. 2 off or 4 off you’ve visiting the penalty box to talk about it. Most 2 offs that escalate would have…
I don’t know what region you’re in, but i haven’t seen it represent bumper cars for a while. The last few east coast races have been cleaner. We’ve had a few minor taps over the years, but nothing that’s ever broken more than a bumper cover.
yes. They are building a Bricklin. Because some people are beyond insane.
“You can arrive and drive with a Ferrari, but your heart and soul isn’t in the thing that you’re driving. You didn’t design this thing, you didn’t fabricate it, you didn’t stay up until 2 in the morning getting the engine running.”
This is why I love lemons. I could go to another race series that is more “serious” but…
My Yamaha fanyboyism is saying yes, oh lord yes. But you just can’t compete with the ducati noise. Based on what I bet the price for this will be, I’d get a used monster.
Koenigsegg didn’t plan right. Sound regs are part of life at tracks, come prepared or your day will suck. Setting off the microphone is all about your exhaust. Different toned exhaust notes are more likely to disperse quickly, and others will register as more energy (which is all sound is). Point your exhaust down, or…
Miura. No question. Not a single other car in that collection pulls at me the same way. The first time I saw one in person I literally stopped dead and stared at it for 10 minutes. The car that brought us the supercar. It is lottery purchase #1.
That was a very long winded way to say that they jumped in face first while channeling their inner Porsche by picking a layout that just is not and cannot be the best for the application. I’m sure with another year they will bandaid this fact to the point of almost competitive, but being different for different’s sake…
