The most recent southern wedding I was in had a totally reasonable 6 bridesmaids and I was surprised at how few of us there are.

I’m a quilter so I’m finishing up my Ron Swanson quilt from the Happy Zombie quilt-a-long that I swear I’ve been working on for 2 years, then quilting a couple of finished tops that have been taunting me since the summer. It will be great!
A burger place down the street from me asks “medical or voluntary?” or something along those lines whenever you ask for a gluten free bun, so they know if they need to take the extra time to try to reduce cross-contamination or if they can just throw the bun on the grill with everyone else’s.
I have long thick hair that takes forever to dry so I read my Kindle while I’m drying my hair in the morning.
I was having a stressful work week a few weeks ago so stopped what I was doing in the middle of a Friday and baked a pie (I was working from home). The rest of my day was SO much more productive. At least in my work it’s hard to see a project through to completion, so making something with a tangible end product was…
Part of the reason I’m taking a few days off to sew is because I was originally going to take a vacation just by myself and my husband was all “But I can be free that weekend!” so we are taking a weekend trip leaving me with the 3 days off I already requested. Win/win.
Find your “break up song” that’s super empowering for you and blast it when you’re feeling bad. Embarrassing fact: after my last break-up I listened to “Flying Solo” by Jason Derulo about 1,000,000,000 times.
I’m taking a few days off in a couple weeks and all I’m going t do is sew. I’m sew excited for it!
I did the same thing this year from a fashion perspective. Instead of buying cheap black boots because I wasn’t enamored of how they fit and knew they would fall apart in a year or two, I went all in on a nice pair of designer boots that are exactly what I’d been looking for.
I always read their relationship as like the two friends that grew up next door to each other and everyone just assumed they’d end up getting married and they just went along with that until they realized that wasn’t actually how they felt about each other.
Less hunting/fishing, more rock climbing/kayaking.
I haven’t read the rest of the article, but $1400/month sadly isn’t wildly abnormal for quality daycare in big cities. Denver’s AVERAGE daycare costs are just under $1000/month.
She was cheating on him and left him so he was like, doubly crushed. The creepiest he ever got was asking to go out w/ me and my friends in the city one night when the kids were with their mom so we could help him meet women.
You can “compete” with friends and send each messages through the FitBit app that way. If she was logged into the FitBit app and had notifications turned on her husband would easily be able to see those messages.
As a former live-in nanny, I found creepy dads to be the exception instead of the rule. In my last role the parents were divorcing and I ended up living w/ the kids and the dad and he mostly just wanted to drink wine and talk about how much he missed his wife after the kids went to bed.
My company just got us S’well water bottles that are very similar and I’ve used it every day since I’ve gotten it. I feel comfortable calling it a life changer.
Right, but his account was still frozen/locked so did he email Twitter and say “I promise I’ll delete that tweet now pretty please unlock my account”?
So did he delete the tweet so he could unlock his account? I’m confused as to how he is posting from a locked account otherwise?
Samesies! It’s such a great visual! Like Danny from Mindy Project
Denver polling stations are open from 7 am to 7 pm, and we also get mail in ballots a month before the election that we can drop off 24 hours a day at specific ballot boxes. It makes me sad that other cities/states don’t make it that easy.
