I saw an excellent demo of Street Fighter IV on an LG set years ago. No wallpaper effect like the canyon flights in Avatar had.

Hear, hear! I wish there were reasonably sized (48" or less) and priced displays with passive UHD 3D, preferably OLED.

VR porn is immersive because you can look around with your head instead of the mouse.

Get better glasses.

OLED shouldn’t even have a backlight, so no problem with uneven backlighting.

Omnidirectional threadmills are nice if you like to stay fit while shooting people’s avatars. For a cheaper and more social experience, a normal 3D movie or game on a screen works better.

LG has 55" OLED UHD 3D TVs with affordable light plastic glasses, but the site i saw those on doesn’t list the price i’d get if i traded in my 48" Sony. Besides, 48" is already a little too big for my room.

Same here, because active glasses are expensive, heavy, and ghost for me.

VR is 3D.

As long as paying extra to see a movie in 3D means only a few seconds of 3D (Pirates of the Caribbean, the one with skeletons), games are the only good content to view it in.

My new Sony Xperia XA1 doesn’t have a gyro, despite multiple sites saying otherwise, so won’t work in my Cardboard. Gear VR isn’t compatiple either, afaik, and my PC and wallet aren’t beefy enough for a Rift or Vive.
