Agreed. Some people tease me because we bring our dog to a daycare or hire a walker when we know we’ll be working long days or eating out after work. It’s not a “waste of money” to us, it’s just the cost of adding a pet to our family and a cost we planned for. 

Be like my frugal mom and ask the waitress for a little bowl full of lemons and order an ice water. Than you can make your own lemonade right there at the table at Applebees!
