@wagedomain: There are parts of the planet we're most certainly destroying, such as animal and plant species, as well as sources of potable water.

@wagedomain: I was specifically talking about our planet, which is, surprisingly, a part of the universe. But let's argue semantics.

@Ian Logsdon: I don't know how you can love it. I lived there for 3 years and every second wanted to GTFO.

@Ninja Nemo: I second that. If you've got a weekend, take the 7-hour drive to Havasu Falls, AZ and camp out at the Grand Canyon. It's an amazing experience and the darkest skies I have ever seen.

Yeah, I went to the Grand Canyon (Havasu Falls) a couple years ago and I have never, ever seen so many stars. It was beautiful. I saw for the first time in my life what Carl Sagan called "The Backbone of the Night".

@greyfish7: Can you post a link to info on Google's service? Doesn't sound like it'll be the same.

I don't get why the US needs Spotify. The US has Grooveshark, and their web app is the bomb. Zune Pass pwns all.

@Mark Gella: It sounds ridiculous, I know.

@triplecheeseburger: It is, which is why I think the whole story is bullshit. Why would they need a "secret meeting" to talk about how to compete?

@gyeabourjr: As Apple approaches "king of the hill" status, it seems to forget that it didn't get there by itself. C'est la vie.

This sounds like a crock. I'm calling bullshit on this one. In fact I've got him on speed-dial. One sec...

@gizgizgiz: Next thing you know, we'll have socialized postal service, fire, police and education! Then we'll be a step away from Cuba, North Korea and... Sweden.

    For realzies this time?

I dunno, seems to me that 6 feet is really not that much.

Didn't know there was a "right" way to orbit.

@Yeah!: I have a feeling this is in vain.

@Yeah!: I gladly take your opinion in an argument, yet you won't be moved to reciprocate by taking mine. You're not even willing to see the reasons and examples I courteously gave you.
