I would say get a Subaru Outback. AWD, good ride height for the snow and very safe. The only down side is it wont stick out, its seems like everyone in Minnesota has a Subaru.

I have two z50's! One of them I tried taking apart and putting back together when I was 13, it is still in pieces. But my other nicer one got a transplanted 85cc engine that I still ride every now and then to this day! They are fun little bikes that are bullet proof.

Yup I have gotten very close to flipping one, Golf carts are pretty tough considering all the abuse they have to absorb.
