Just God’s way of thinning the herd.
Let’s Just Stand Here and Let the Awkwardness Wash Over Us is my new favorite phrase.
The suspect
Weird, I literally just read an article about him yesterday about how there were rumors they were bringing him back to Doctor Who in some capacity, after not hearing about the guy for 10 years. So much for that (not that I really cared).
I can’t wait until they release the “COVID mod” where you can bump elbows instead.
Same here - my first two broadcasts were The Amazing Colossal Man and Time of the Apes. Both classics.
I did chuckle when he said he built it because the Switch is small and easy to lose, so instead he built something that likely costs WAY more than just buying a replacement Switch.
I first read the headline as Alien vs. Farrow, which I’d definitely watch. No doubt it would be pretty short, but still.

This whole royal/tabloid relationship makes sense - now that the family has no real political power, they’re basically just celebrities; and celebrities are always at the whim of public opinion, with British tabloids playing a huge part in that. I’ve always liked The Rescuers, probably because of the memories of watching it as a kid. He plays such a nasty, disgusting creep in Pelham 1-2-3. I didn’t see it until I already knew him from his other movies, and the difference between that role and his other “nice” characters is striking.
So they spent all that money on licensing C3PO and R2D2 for an anti-smoking PSA - and then spell the word “Galaxy” wrong at the end? Seriously, no one proof-read the thing?
Fetchez la vache!
Ditto for the Bellamy Salute.
Or to quote Milli Vanilli directly: “Girl you know it’s-Girl you know it’s-Girl you know it’s-Girl you know it’s-Girl you (record scratch)“
