Although my state now requires masks (sort of) and most folks I see are obligingly wearing them, I’ve noticed that a huge number of these people - probably 1/3 or more - are clearly wearing them wrong. Many times I see the masks hovering below the nose and just barely covering the mouth, or else they have scarves or…
Glad you put the <sarcasm> tags in there, because Trump just said that he was being “sarcastic” with his suggestion last night: “I was asking a question sarcastically to reporters like you just to see what would happen,” he announced today.

Yes, the “I AM amused!” in the trailer actually made me chuckle a bit, and did sound similar to “WHAT AM I DOING?!”.
The Looney Tunes reboot trailer looked more promising than I expected, but I’ve been disappointed before. The actual character drawings and animation style looks similar to the somewhat messy/stretchy early-40's era (nice!), but the voices were a bit hit-or-miss; Bugs and Daffy were good, Tweety and Porky were ok, but…
A good, funny recreation of a famously crappy video (I recall Beavis & Butthead also doing a pretty good roasting on one of their segments). But as for the walking close-up of his (perhaps 11 year old?) daughter’s ass in tight leather pants... umm, not so good.
As an infrequent viewer, the one scene that always sticks out for me (I have no idea what episode it was from) had Lowell - tripping on mushrooms - hallucinating that his fingers had fallen off, and asking the others to pick them up for him since he obviously couldn’t.

All music that came after Gregorian Chants suck.
I actually found the later seasons of Scrubs (6-7) to be pretty scattershot and less fun to watch, but then it got better for the final season 8 and wrapped up nicely. I actually thought Scrubs: Med School (aka Season 9) wasn’t bad, and while it didn’t quite measure up to their earlier shows I never understood why…
That would have been exactly the kind of twist I would have expected too, only that would mean Doug framing Peralta for an actual felony, likely ruining his career and possibly triggering jail time. And even if they somehow wrote their way out of that, it still would have crossed a line between pranks and real crimes,…
Umm... not to be contrary, but what do lava lamps and psychedelia have to do with 1984? Lava lamps were considered pretty outdated by then.
My wife and I are unabashed fans of this movie, and that scene is my favorite (and most quoted) as well.
Sad news, but that photo is positively scrumtrulescent.
It’s referenced by Snopes also:
Someone else on that Twitter thread mentioned that the reference originally was to a defecting Russian scientist and it was called Gorki-400, but sometime in the early 90's the references were changed to China and Wuhan-400 (I’m guessing because the Soviet Union fell in 1989 and was considered less of a threat to us…
