hah, a lot....
hah, a lot....
not my job now, but i have certainly done fake work at other jobs
my great aunt in Scotland has a sort of clothes drying rack on a pulley in her kitchen (high ceiling), and it works great for when it's too wet to dry clothes outside.
You can do the same sort of thing by going into a travel agent and asking what last minute package deals they have. A friend and I had a week in Spain a few years ago for a lot less than the normal price (i completely forget how much we saved though).
I use a Asus WL-500G Premium V2 running DD-WRT as a wireless print server for the machines in my house, i have Linux machines, Windows, and OSX. :)
They cost almost nothing to distribute, so I really can't justify paying more than a few bucks for them. I have a Kindle, and I love it, but unless ebooks become a lot cheaper I will merrily continue to *ahem* download them.

i had problems a while ago doing this, the damn audiobook wouldn't stay as a compilation once i copied it to my ipod, maybe i was doing something wrong. MP3 to ipod audiobook converter works pretty well on windows, and i managed to get the same program running on my macbook with Wine Bottler. :)
philips ambilight really is excellent, its a shame its so hard to buy their TVs equipped with it in the States. If i had a HTPC i'd give this project a go in a heart beat, but with my poor old modded xbox i'm a bit stuck.
i used to use the tivo to skip all commercials, but i now download everything i watch (i don't know why i even pay for cable anymore) #tv
@UnStatusTheQuo: mine too
@Charax: kettle are made for boiling water, so i'm pretty sure it was sterile ;)

free logitech wireless keyboard from a giveaway on the logitech website a couple of years ago. great keyboard. :)
This windows port of the OSX screensaver supports dual monitors. It's pretty resource intensive though, so if your video card isn't up to scratch it won't run smoothly. [www.maddogsw.com] Looks great though.
