This seriously feels like the most epic FUD campaign of all time. I've had no problem with my iPhone 4. I doubt 90% of the people complaining about iPhone 4 would have a problem with iPhone 4 if every website in existence wasn't showing them how to hold it in a certain way to degrade performance.

"I have bought just about every apple product made in the last 20 years and this is the 1st time I am ashamed to be a MAC fan."

There *should* be wars between design and engineering. Otherwise you end up with products that look (and feel) like Dells.

So how many HTC and Google and Moto PR people are sending pics of broken iPhones and reporting iPhone screen and reception issues to prominent blogs on the big launch day?

@bobert1000: Engadget's review was extremely detailed and well-written. But because it came to a favorable-to-Apple conclusion, it must be fanboyism, right? *eye roll*

If you people would quit giving these people press, these people would stop pulling these ridiculous stunts. Seriously.

I swear I've seen the Droid X before.

@jRiz: Even more disconcerting is that the glass is now *laminated* to the display. How will cracked glass be replaced now?

@katypee001: Android devices have *not* had an 960 x 640 display "for some time."

Too bad they left the hard case on the iPhone, making it look even bigger than it really is.

It's an no-win situation. Handset makers don't want to become faceless, low-margin hardware suppliers for Google, like HP and Dell are for Microsoft. Nor do they want their shiny new device forgotten one month after launch when a competitor's newest Android phone ships. Yet their efforts at distinction are surely

Demo gaffes. Happens even to the big boys. Comforting, that.

O RLY? So Android phones aren't sold by carriers with contracts huh? News to me.
