If it was an essential feature to beating the game, then it would be a Pay to Win mechanic.
Claire needs to be in a proper storyline game again; I enjoyed Revelations 2, and RE2:Remake is fantastic, but she hasn’t been at the forefront of her own, new, main RE game in 21 years.
