As an extension of this, I just realized that, in terms of the timeline, we haven’t seen Jill since the events of RE5.

I would have liked to have seen Jill make an appearance, maybe as part of Chris’s team, just to give a bit of balance to Chris’s dour nature. 

This game has a lot of little nods and homages to RE4; almost like it’s a tribute. 

I tend to agree with this. It elicits a lot of eye rolls (and some snark during a boss battle in Village), but I’d rather have my protagonists punching the shit out of some boulders than being boring. 

Hear me out: Heisenberg should’ve been voiced by Peter Stormare. 

This. There’s no way my first thought would be to “grab a table and try and kill this fetus thing that is laughing, chasing me and calling me daddy”. My fight instinct would concretely be behind my flight instinct at that moment in time. 

I’d like to talk more about the sound design during this section. Between the sounds that the Fetus Monster makes (which almost certainly have to be actual recorded baby sounds), the use of the radio to establish tone, and the silence of waiting under the bed for it to come through the door, that tone that is set…

Or if they did more than the bare minimums to remaster 2 and 3. 

The internet is a thirst trap, and people are bored. 

“Being an inhuman creature that just ate people” sounds like a good enough of a reason. Oh, and that other reason where they were helping to shield the person responsible for the kidnapping of his daughter.

It was almost tailor-made for Twitch, particularly group watches.
