First, ketchup is a magical non-Newtonian fluid, incorporating sweet, sour, and savory at the same time, that gets too much flack.

I’ve learned to like a lot of things just through repeated exposure, but there are the rare cases when I know I dislike something, but try it again anyway, and still hate it. Horseradish comes to mind. Every several months or so, I’m like, oh maybe it’s not as terrible as I remember, but it is.

I like to use motor deaths as a base-line; “you’re more likely to die in your car today than...”

Beer, booze and an egg? I think that's just called breakfast

I like to do chronological sort over title sort just because it’s nice to visualize an artists progression.

Some chili infused honey on roasted brussels sprouts is heaven.

Depends on whether you want to be the cool kid or the square.

Sorry to revive an old thread, know if FreeTaxUSA covers the schedule 2 form for open market healthcare? The IRS added it this year, and while turbotax had always been free for me in the past, that form with four lines isn’t covered in the basic package.

Are... Are you my wife?

We have one of those standard grounded indoor extension cords the we just run under our couch. That way we can use specialty chargers (like OnePlus) or anyone else can also plug in, or we can use laptop charger, etc.

You’re totally missing the point. Fixed fees should be included in the base price. Of course add-ons are going to change that price.

This is exactly the point he’s trying to make. Car manufactures aren’t burring the pre-set fees in the total; they’re tacking them on at the end.

I assume in the rural Midwest, most adults have cars with functioning heat. This is not the case for a significant number of service employees in densely populated cities.

Or, you know, not pay people to work...

I used to secretly tune into Love Line on my crappy FM alarm clock late at night when I should have been asleep. Kids are just as adverse asking their parents questions as parents are bring them up/answering them.

Had to kill a mouse stuck in a glue trap today (at work, I’d never use glue traps). I recognize the need for it, but I still apologize first. I do the same with cockroaches.

Metric is great when recipes are designed that way. Especially in baking. But I just don’t have time to convert 95% of recipes to metric and special order measuring cups and spoons with metric markings. Life in America, what can you do?

I also commonly rewrite a recipe in my own words/style, so I’m not trying to follow a poorly written recipe (it’s the English graduate in me).

When tackling any recipe that is somewhat complicated or new: Read. The. Recipe.

A couple of things; mainly how many ingredients, how many steps, how many pans, how many different techniques?
