I’m worried about my wife. She’s not anti-vax, but she has very bad needlephobia, like hyperventilating, busting into tears, and getting tunnel vision.

Check your bill, too. My opto last week charged me $50 and the rest to medical, not optical, because she “gave me an amblyopia diagnosis”.
I should have asked for this when I had my first eye exam in 15yrs last week, but I didn’t know any better. It’s also not difficult to measure yourself if you have two metric rulers and a mirror (and triple check).
Not necessarily grieving, but still sad. Today is 14yrs since my fiancee and I started dating. I’m a chef, and we’re big foodies, so we usually make elaborate dinner plans on special occasions. Tonight is just a normal home cooked meal with what I have on hand.
Technically if you are somewhere you need to wear a mask, you shouldn't be touching your phone, but I won't judge because I'm not blameless.
I can see that, I was also pretty bookish. Bored in elementary, legit homeschooled in middle, which was mostly self study unless I needed mom’s help and progress reviewed by the state, private school for high (which was basically prep school but they didn’t call themselves that). I transferred to public senior year,…
I’m no expert in child education, but I always wondered why it wasn’t more like college? If you take an average course load of 15hrs a week and spend the same time on homework (as I was taught) that’s 6hrs a day total, not 6hrs in school and homework on top of that.
yep, gloves are a two way street, which is the first thing you’ll be taught with even the lowest level of medical training. they protect me from you and you from me.
“Over the course of a single day, I may go through 30+ pairs!”
that video is close to the correct technique, but not spot on. pinch first glove, remove most of the way then use first glove to pinch second glove remove both inside out together.
I was thinking about offering my services online as an English tutor, but it’s been 10 years since my BS, and 8 years since I last taught. And I only taught entry level high school and college ESL.
and on the bulletproof train, I've never tried it, but side note; last time I was at the grocery, all the generic and 'normal' name brand butter was sold out, but they had Kerrygold; treat yo self
i can drink it black if it's good enough coffee, when I'm out of cream I usually just use a little sugar, but now I'm curious to try a little buttermilk powder in my coffee
It's just whole milk
definitely not bashing homemade pizza, I've done it. I also used to make pizza professionally; I definitely ate way too much pizza at that point in my life, but man I miss that properly crispy crust you get from a real pizza oven. it turned me into a little bit of a pizza snob. I'll still eat a home made or frozen or…
Thank god my wife and I (both ‘socially functioning’ introverts) have been together so long we can sit in the same room for hours and not even talk. And our new roommate (her brother) is also an introvert. We could all go all day in the same house without seeing each other and be totally fine with it.
Claire in quarantine: I'ma waffle all the things
advantages of a buzz cut: it will certainly look better if I have a pro do it, but in a pinch I can do it at home. I just recently transitioned from shoulder length hair to a buzz because I'm just too lazy to take care of my hair properly.
This. No reputable restaurant is going to serve you rotted food (unless controlled rot, i.e. fermented). If you do get sour food, stop eating it, demand a refund, and never go back, and maybe call the health department.
depends on the quality of pizza you want. making dough at home is easy, getting a 700+ degree oven, not so much.
