I was going to go for the 3qt model since I only cook for 2, but my SO (who bought it as a present) convinced me to go with the 6qt. It’s still big sometimes but works; can’t imagine the 8qt.

On a related note, can anyone recommend a dedicated alarm clock that is both dim and quiet. I'm a light sleeper that usually wakes before my alarm, my cell on vibrate is my backup, but I hate having to find it in the night when I wake up just to see I still have hours of sleep ahead.
