The Classic was my first knife, and got many years of heavy use. However, I really don’t like a knife with a thick heel. If Wusthof is the route you want to take, and you can drop the coin, I highly recommend the Classic IKON.

There is no “best” knife; I have one issue or another with every knife I’ve used. But after a decade in the industry and dozens of knives, here’s what I’ve pruned my daily carry down to:

I was going to go for the 3qt model since I only cook for 2, but my SO (who bought it as a present) convinced me to go with the 6qt. It’s still big sometimes but works; can’t imagine the 8qt.

The one that really bums me out is the endless “I’m not a robot” quizzes if I try to do a Google search with my VPN active.

You couldn’t possibly alluding to our president colluding with Russia!?!?!?

Having worked in an Italian restaurant in America, my advice is to order this kind of pasta late in the service, as the pasta water likely hasn’t been changed and is very starchy.

I can tell by your precarious grasp of English that this is authentic, good advice.

Guanciale is for carbonara, not cacio e pepe.

Add the butter at the end; if it coats the pasta, your sauce won't stick.

Alternate method to this article, leave your phone next to your baby.

Feel your pain, I’m also in the hospitality industry, my SO has the 9-5. She and I are seriously batting around marriage; my insurance on the individual market is nearly 300/m, hers coving us both would be roughly 150/m, and way better than what I have.

This. Why this concept eludes my roommates baffles me.

Gee, maybe there are scenarios when you don’t need to see the video stream, but still want to listen to the audio stream. Or when you want to listen to an audio format unsupported by Android.

Couldn’t really say personally, just making an observation based on my own loans. I’ve only been working with NelNet for a few months.

Great Lakes sold off their loans, now held by NelNet.

When I was in college I used to work out high; the trick being I had to be dressed and ready to go and smoke on the way to the gym. That way I was committed and didn’t just decided to binge watch something or some such.

What we need are read read receipts; that way you know when someone knows that you didn’t respond.

Full disclaimer, I’m a catering chef. So, I have a work bag with a variety of knives, tongs, lighter, cork screw, spatulas, spoons, etc. Since it’s always packed anyway, it pretty much just comes with me anywhere.

In the analog era, we did this with a chair and pretended it was a rocket launch; starting by lying the chair back parallel with the floor with a second person shaking it and slowly rasing it to a normal seated position.

On a related note, can anyone recommend a dedicated alarm clock that is both dim and quiet. I'm a light sleeper that usually wakes before my alarm, my cell on vibrate is my backup, but I hate having to find it in the night when I wake up just to see I still have hours of sleep ahead.
