Interesting. I thought it didn't give an excuse to commit suicide, just watching her at the end was terrifying. My teen told me she threw up after that (she watched the show before I did).

Didn't read the book, binged watched the series, I'm 41 and a mother of two teens. It was painful to watch: too repetitive, slow, could have been resolved faster.
Also painful because I wondered what secrets my daughters keep from me, I know I kept a lot from my parents when I was kid, including an almost got raped…
