Kimmy of Arcadia?
Kimmy of Arcadia?
Ugh. Anything but the Death March.
The Hawaii Five-0 reboot did that for awhile too, with the Microsoft product placement. At one point Kono actually suggested that someone "just Bing it!"
More like a million bucks.
Oh, she's a genius with the metaphors and the one-liners.
I think the closest we got to this was Crystal voting for Randy in Gabon, where she voted as loudly as she could to ensure everyone heard it.
This makes sense. There have been lots of times when a player leaves with an idol in their pocket. Clearly there's a rule involved, otherwise we'd have seen lots of idols passed off between the vote and the snuff.
It's just dopey fun. Chewing gum for the eyeballs.
That was a B-plot of the episode "The US Poet Laureate", where Josh gets into an online feud with the "LemonLyman" forums. To their credit, the West Wing fans on TWOP thought the whole thing was hilarious and made a huge running joke about the moderator wearing muu-muus and smoking Parliaments. I first came to TWOP…
I remember that one: it was titled, "Helicopters 2, Viewers, 0"
I'm glad the show is getting coverage, although I confess I didn't know it was based (however obliquely) on a comic. So I don't have any dog in that particular fight.
I didn't catch the closing credits (and they're incomplete on IMDB at the moment), but I thought her name was Lou Ellen, which is a little more realistic.
I kinda saw it coming because they never did mention where the family would be moving to, but it was funny nonetheless.
Maybe that's why he tried crucifying them this week.
Neil?
I dunno, I'm pretty sure everybody in my neighborhood wants some of that autism.
It's probably telling that I didn't suspect until close to the end, while my daughter, who isn't a regular watcher of the show, asked me early on if he was a ghost or something. We've seen so many flash-backs and -forths that I thought we'd seen him at some point since Devon's Factory days.
It has happened a couple of times before (there are examples cited above). It's getting tough at this point to say "Never Happened Before" when it comes to Survivor.
Keeping scammers on the line and off their scripts is one of my favorite games. My personal record is 28 minutes.
I'd like to see that too, but it's been on an "occasional checkin" basis for awhile now.
