My daughter was watching the show for the first time; the library sequence proved to be a great means for her to get a lot of entry into what was going on.

I said the same thing. That woulda been all kinds of badass.

There's clearly some magic/illusion business going on. After she pulled off the face, Frey's clothes were suddenly way too big for her.

I think the conceit that they're going with is that the auto glass is filtering out the harmful UV rays?

On an unrelated note, has there always been a bridge in the distance over the water? I never noticed that before.

It's gonna be a, uh, fascinating transition.
Dammit!

Especially with Dev constantly poking the bear until the aunt explodes yet again.

That was one of those times when you have to hit the pause button because of the extended laugh.

Yeah. I thought the payoff was going to come because the guy isn't deaf, and is actually speaking aloud as he signs, without necessarily thinking about it. So when it turned out that there was a bunch of kids who knew ASL "eavesdropping" on them, that was one startled laugh that came from me.

My hope is that he injected himself deep into the conversation largely because they hadn't done it that way previously, so he felt more compelled to act as a facilitator. If he can back off a little bit and just ensure that everyone gets to say their piece, I'm comfortable with it staying like this rather than the

Everyone spoke at one time or another, but clearly some people got more camera time (Ozzy, Cirie, Zeke, Michaela) than others (Hali). And there were a couple of times when I felt like Probst was steering the conversation a little too hard, pulling a theory out of his ass and throwing it to Ozzy for confirmation.

He only had to appear so that there would be five more people in that scene, making it look that much more chaotic. Otherwise? Not so much.

Scheisskopf?

I thought that was pretty much her point. To paraphrase: part of doing my job is paying attention to specific things. When you're on Survivor, picking up on the small details is part of your job. And this wasn't even an especially small detail, but somehow nobody spotted it.

This is two episodes in a row where the three groups didn't really intersect, although there was a brief moment at the end with the crib. But how did Jay know about the baby?

I don't necessarily disagree with this, but I think they've improved since Season 1. Back then I wasn't buying it at all.

Similarly, they're in a state that allows recreational marijuana use (not to mention the prior, rather thin, allowances for medical use), AND we have 26 states (plus the District) which have some form of legal pot, so it's certainly a more acceptable topic for an on-screen activity.

I think part of that laugh was just how slowly it was being pushed her way. It became almost like a rake joke.

A NSFW tag probably wouldn't have killed you.

Argh, Yeah, you're right.
