Yes, I do know how emissions are measured. Do you know that I was referring to the person who suggested better fuel economy during warm-up, at idle? No load, no miles, no difference.

Nowhere does it say that the cheat mode is more fuel-efficient at idle, only that it reduces CO2 emissions.

“the elder two are unfortunately in jail facing a variety of charges including burglary and receiving stolen property”

Mazda could continue to spend its limited development funds on the rotary engine, or they could spend less to develop a competitive turbocharged V6, and not have to work to sell it to people. Even if the rotary’s inherent design issues can be addressed (and that’s a substantial “if”), I can’t imagine that there’s a

As an engineer, I can certainly appreciate the simplicity of the rotary engine. Unfortunately, despite decades of development, that simplicity simply has not provided any benefit other than a high redline. Compared to a reciprocating engine, a rotary is expensive to machine, is less durable, is inefficient, and has

I don’t believe it’s the automakers who were out of touch - it was the buyers. If those badges didn’t help sell cars, they wouldn’t have been there. Let’s face it: the typical car buyer believes that a badge such as the ones you noted automatically indicates something special. “Look! It’s the Flux Capacitor model.

My car is a Mustang, so I’d have to be certain that it wasn’t being taken to a Cars & Coffee event.

6100 miles on the build. Also, although the ad copy doesn’t mention it, the 4wd system is gone. AMC never fitted a V8 because it wouldn’t fit with the 4wd hardware. Ditto for the true dual exhaust.

There was once another new brand where the car was only part of the story: Saturn. Anybody remember Saturn?

Geez... now I’m glad Chevrolet switched to trapezoidal taillights. I haven’t seen such ugly, round taillights since the last 74-78 AMC Matador coupe bit the dust.

Thanks. I needed a good laugh. Anybody with $1,000,000 who falls for this scam doesn’t deserve to have $1,000,000 anyhow.

They’re not nearly as expensive as the inflated MSRPs suggest. Transaction prices are closer to $55K, and resale values are high, so that $67K truck can probably be leased for $700/month.

Wrong is wrong, in his case and in mine. Thanks for correcting my spelling.

As a noun, “toruqes” means “a ringlike band or formation about the neck, as of feathers, hair, or integument of distinctive color or appearance; a collar.”  So, you’re telling us that this car has 31 more collars than a BMW 335i.

It doesn’t appear to me that any of these cars are moving fast enough to spin without the driver’s foot firmly planted on the accelerator. However, you’re correct in that lifting at the wrong moment can lead to disaster, as the car is likely to go exactly where it’s pointed, which may not be what the driver is

Memo to my fellow Mustang owners: Here are a few tips to stop you from making us all look like idiots:

Everything’s all fun and games until the turbo blows.

An unattractive, aging male who makes wild, unsubstantiated assertions? Quick, Republicans! Nominate him for President!

True. Also true of the 1976 Cadillac Seville (but not later versions) and the Jaguar XJ coupes in the '70s.

Sorry to nitpick, but "it's" should be "its".
