It was weird all right, but not ahead of its time. If it was, we’d all be driving rear engined cars now.

Yup. If moving about happens to be painful or otherwise difficult, you want to limit walking as much as you can. If you’re a good member of society, and you notice a person with such a disability, you help them (and the rest of us) by returning the shopping cart for them.

The MiEV looked cute, though, also a redeeming feature, no?

Citroën used a ‘passive’ rear wheel steering system on their Xantia and XM models. Too complicated to explain, google it...

The Honda Cub engine, with 100M+ built since the 1950s, and widely copied by primarily Chinese manufacturers. Run it without oil, drop it from a helicopter (Top Gear), it’ll still keep running through your next three incarnations. Add to this mileage close to 100 mpg.

That’s the sweetest solution I’ve ever read about. Wish I could give you a 10 star rating.

Unlike in - say - France, where you’d better have written a high brow book or two, and have a mistress, if you want to be taken seriously.

Groan....

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is doing lots of stuff, my favorite being the Mitsubishi J8M rocket powered interceptor of WW2 fame.

AC Cobra?

Agree. Even if I’m not into diving, using her as an artificial reef and general amusement for divers, seems like a much better idea. Only drawback would be if she capsizes on her way being towed out of the harbor.

Repairs for a quarter billion dollars? Tow her out somewhere to be used as an artificial reef, and a place for divers to have fun. She lived a good life, but it’s time to put her to sleep.

You’re missing my point: Do both occupants get cited or charged, or only the driver?

Being European, I’d assume only the driver of a vehicle could get charged in a situation like this. Is this different in Missouri?

Goobin, do you know they were drunk, or are you just assuming it?

What crimes did they commit, aside from losing control of the car?

He was just joking. I hope.

Don’t worry, in 20 or 30 years it’ll be forgotten. Maybe.

I am generally out of date....
