I’m unreasonably excited by this... I want this truck to be awesome.

“The only value to hydrogen as a battery is the high energy density, allowing reduced weight in mobile applications.”

The big story here is that Hydrogen is actually a ‘battery’ that stores renewable energy very well. MANY of the solar panels/wind turbines/hydro-dams that are placed around the country aren’t being used at 100% capacity most of the time. MANY times they are idling... Little known fact: our country has a HUGE surplus

I have dreams of buying a S550 or S600 that has a blown engine and doing a LS454 swap in it JUST to screw with people (yeah, I know that’s not a proper big block, but still... ) I think it would be fun to start it up with some nice loud pipes in a swanky parking lot and watch peoples reactions...

10/10 - Will Buy.

It would have been better if they had applied all this to the Metris and made a sweet off-road version of THAT platform. VAN>>PICKUP for everything except manure. (and yes, this a picture of a Sprinter, I know)

Over $36k so far and almost to his goal! Keep donating to keep NIMBY folks at bay!

I thought you were right, then I realized that a car requires a person to drive it as well, so TECHNICALLY the plate of spaghetti is required for both bike and automotive travel...

Yep. You hit the nail on the head! Geometry is EVERYTHING.

Only a V6?!? Come on Dodge... you’re better than this. At LEAST give us the V8 with AWD! THAT would be unique in the market... the V6 is just too small for this. And although a Hellcat with AWD would be neat, I’d actually rather have the Scat Pack engine (6.4L) mainly due to how great it sounds. Either way, I think

Let’s just say that I’ve been following this truck since the very first development mules were created... the want is LONG.

I have no reason to want one, but I just do... I blame Tonka. Although I’m essentially a ‘soccer dad’, I still desperately want to buy one and romp around in the snow... *sigh*

If you want to REALLY fly thru the desert, call up Stewart RaceWorks:

So... who is better? Who is best? Do ANY german cars have reliable motors? Should we just agree now that the LS3 in the Chevy SS is the MOST reliable?

As a Big Dig survivor, I laugh in your general direction...

Yes, you are right. The actual total battery weight is around 9500lbs... that’s much closer to what I was expecting for such a large vehicle.

HOLY HELL THAT IS AMAZING!!!!

I’m flat-out amazed that this hasn’t been confirmed for production yet. I haven’t heard ANYONE say anything bad about it. The design, the color, the WHEELS! Everything is just perfect. I don’t normally buy Jeeps, but I’d buy this one and go camping the next damned day! Such a great concept...

It’s not the horsepower that’s killing your fun... its all the grip. Remove that and the HP is a wonderful sound machine!
