OMG. I LOVED that movie! You just brought me back... now i have to go find it and watch it!

Nope.
Sorry Kids, but as soon as I can, I'm getting a Durango R/T. Just for me. My wife already has a Highlander... I'm just sick of being crammed into small cars, and I've had plenty of them that supposedly have 'lots of space'. I'm 6'4" and I want a vehicle with space for myself and for my friends (who are tall as…
Water cooling?!? SERIOUSLY GUYS!!! COME ON NOW!
Step 1) - Wait for FR-S to be greatly discounted
I was all about this car until someone pointed out that you could by a lightly-used BMW 550i for $45k... and I'm sorry but the TTV8 in the BMW is going to crush the LS3 in the SS every time. Please understand, I LOVE the SS, but its a whole lotta money for a 415hp sedan that is imported, but isn't German. If it were…
I think there are two things at play here... engine design and wing design.
To be fair, a piston engine is NOT actually more efficient... if you look at specific-fuel-consumption, or power output/fuel consumed, turbine engines are always more efficient. The A-1 just happened to have an engine that was the 'right size' for the speeds required for the mission.
Actually I'd argue just the opposite... the frame deformed in a _controlled_ many when the rear suspension was MASSIVELY overloaded.
Yep, agree with many of your points (lower = better milage for sure!) but I will argue one key point: EcoBoost motors make BETTER torque at LOWER rpm's than a larger naturally aspirated motor.
This is the truck-version of a diesel-manual-wagon-miata. It'll never happen regardless of how much we may want it.
No, I was referring to the provisions Ford made for direct injection in the Coyote motor (it has the space allocated for the injectors already).
Perhaps you're right about the V8-market, some guys just want to hear a big-bore V8 rumble no matter what... As far as MPG's however... most Raptor owners are reporting AVERAGE milage around 11-12mpg with mixed city/highway usage.
Ram Runner is an afterthought. The on-road ride is atrocious, the offroad performance is generally miserable (the transmission can't handle what's going on). No off-road mode, no hill descent (?), very slow steering ratio (with recirculating ball mechanism which has NO feel to it).
Yes, I realize there is no 5L ecoboost _right now_ but Ford has put in place all the technology that would allow them to add turbos to the Coyote motor. The Coyote has provisions for direct injection, and they also have plenty of experience with turbos from all the other Ecoboost variants. This combination would…
Ever since this truck came out, it has been my dream-vehicle!!! I want one _SO_ bad, but the combination of high purchase price and _HORRIBLE_ fuel economy have steadied my hand. I am hoping the 2015 F-150 will drop some weight so they can lighten this truck up substantially. It weighs nearly 7000lbs (Super Crew)…
Honestly, this is the only Jaaaag I'd actually buy. I love the XJL, but in snowy-climates its less than idea (even with AWD). THIS thing is awesome, sexy, and I want it.
SO. MUCH. WIN.
I'm pretty sure he was referring to counter-steering once you have initiated the slide... so he could have said it better by saying 'if you want to go left in the dirt, turn left, until you slide, then turn right and apply throttle carefully until you can maintain your angle of attack around the corner'. But that…
I have driven this car twice now and both times I came away impressed... I am seriously considering buying one. Very nice. My only complaints are that the back seat isn't really that comfortable (sort of flat and pretty firm) and the heated steering wheel and HID's can only be had on the LTZ trim. What I'd REALLY…
