That is one thing I do not like about it currently. But, one thing to keep in mind is they update it all the time and since it is in the cloud, they could change it tomorrow. You basically own the hardware.

Actually, I believe there are several skills that will allow you to play your own music library now.

There are several home automation devices that can ‘switch’ the audio for you...and actually send IR commands, etc. So, for this purpose you could, “Alexa, turn on audio switch”...have it switch the source...”Alexa, play 80s station on Pandora”. Then, “Alexa, turn off audio switch” to switch it back.
