It’s a great way to slow down without hitting the brakes. Hitting the brakes is much more likely to cause you to lose traction and start sliding than engine breaking. Add to that at low speed automatics try to speed up and keep you on the brakes even more.

The Corvette has really long gearing and is pretty slippery in the air, it’ll get better than 25 mpg way past 75 mph.

Nope. Drove from Houston to Dallas with no cruise control and got pretty fast during that trip (it was fairly new at the time and I wanted to open it up on the open highways a bit). Average MPG - 29 for the trip.

Probably because all everyone was buying were Camaro’s and when they kinda styled it that with sharper edges now they bitch it looks like a Camaro. Typical.

Nah but thats the fuelly average for people who dont drive very many miles in the Corvettes, lots of city and hard acceleration. If your commute is really 50 miles a day, you could get more like 26-28 mpg. So like, only 200-250 years! You can’t afford not to make this move, honestly.
