I don’t know, unfortunately. A 401 with EFI (but no smog equipment) had been swapped in when I bought it. The forums say EFI really just helps it start and run well year round. Even LS swapped projects don’t seem to get more than 18mpg. That’s a huge improvement as a percentage (I get 13-15) but it would take a decade…

My 88 has been upgraded to EFI, but the transmissions that swap in easily really don’t do much for mpg and the factory one is so hard to kill I haven’t gotten the opportunity to replace it with something more efficient. Same with the engine.

i like these Japanese cars that aren’t sold here, but i don’t want to deal with RHD. Are any of these forbidden fruit Japanese cars sold LHD, to other countries that I could import from? At least with weird British cars I can usually just import one from mainland Europe and get it with LHD if I really want one.
