I agree, though I think disrupting the flow of gameplay might be a little too much (As I'm sure it was considered). If they added a switch to servers it might be a cool option but I'm sure coding is a bit more difficult, haha.

I wasn't a fan of Halo, even given the fact I didn't own an Xbox but played most of them at my friends house and had roommates that played it. This looks more up my alley. I think if the gameplay is fun and perhaps a bit Borderlands-ish in terms of co-op and online play, I think it will be a blast. Sure, characters…
I can imagine this game has hi res textures all across the board. Some games, particularly in PC, will do high res textures for characters and major surfaces but not all props and objects will be (Makes me think of Rage). But I'll be pretty impressed if the consistency of textures is that high resolution and it plays…
I haven't found Nintendo to be relevant to me to me since I was maybe 10. Again, that's just me personally, but after I bought the original Wii, I was like... why?
Exactly. And it's funny because I think my girlfriends younger brother has always been kind of looking for an older brother figure and I kind of treat him like my younger bro (And I'd like to think I'm a positive influence even if I enjoy terrible games like GTA).
It's funny, I'm a huge Valve fan, I love steam and PC gaming (Though I do console gaming, also). And this news in particular isn't exciting, mostly because a small percentage of us have already been running HDMI cables to our living rooms or building computers for our livings rooms already. But what it will bring in…
Oh, totally. I know this, I'm just adding to the conversation. The connection was that when he was 10 years old, he was that little kid that wanted CoD and GTAIV. The big difference is that it's only been a few years since then - My point was just that all kids mature differently and at different times, it's just…
Parenting must suck, period. I hope to be a great parent one day, but I can imagine after having your third kid being like "I'm done raising kids. I don't care, go play GTA." I've seen this in my girlfriend's family. Her and her youngest brother are 11 years apart, her brother just turning 15. And her parents are in…
I played quite a bit of CoD. But my "serious" competitive game was the UT series. I really hope this game brings that edginess back. I'm really stoked to play this on PC and the video was a great overview.
Man, I stopped caring about review scores like 10 years ago. I like reviews because I like people's opinions and I like to discuss games. Not sure what the fuss is. Oh well! Looking forward to forming my own opinion of GTA V
I've loved my PS3 to death, but I was always saddened that the Xbox 360 versions of most titles seemed to get better frame rates and generally have better graphics. (Even if, slightly). Most games that were demanding I got on PC, but I guess I don't understand how this generation will be different. I remember getting…
I haven't had a PC game do any major crashes in years. Maybe on XP games were crashing, but games don't really crash anymore unless you fuck with 'em.
I don't have a huge problem with Windows. In fact I love building PC's and gaming but I have a lot of Apple products.
Yeah, but it still makes it easier. You can log on and kick your friend off in a reasonable matter. It's a step towards lending out single games and not your entire library. Slowly but surely I think it will become available.
Why aren't people more excited about this? This is amazing. I've let my friends borrow my Steam accounts but obviously that's a pain in the ass if I want to log in and play, especially with the Steam Key authorization. Now the next step is selling and trading old keys/games.
That doesn't seem to be true, reading the FAQ it looks like as the lender you just have to authorize which computers. So if you have a close friend, you just have to go through the process of having him or her authorize their computer to play your games. That wouldn't be very promising if it was only one computer.
Yeah, I figured it would be slow but jesus christ this is like 56k slow.
I think the biggest issue is generic games on iOS. Though there have been some new AAA games that have been pretty damn good.
I know, right? Even I could do that:
Then I'd be creeped out that someone was recording me at night, and then I'd probably just embrace it at the point. Once you go full on "crying in the pillow" there is no return.
