Last week a sheriff here in Washington State announced he’d no longer enforce the governor’s stay at home mandate because it was just unfair. A key point to his argument was that pot shops were essential but gun shops weren’t and how is that right?

Yeah, I just came in to some money thanks to Pandemic Unemployment Assistance and reading this made me realize why I splurged as hard as I did. An.... acquaintance of mine on Facebook just posted that it’s not right to make fun of or wish ill on the people who are drinking bleach because to do so comes from a place of privilege. That’s right, we have the privilege of education to know.... not... to drink bleach?

College students don’t qualify for the stimulus and, because they’re not minors, don’t even count for the $500 if their parents claimed them as dependents. Additionally, dependent adults (including those with disabilities) aren’t getting stimulus checks.

Anyone who is working in an essential job, from grocery cashier to bus driver to ER doctor should be making serious hazard pay and have full healthcare and sick days. That some of the more low level gigs are offering a buck or two more an hour or a cash bonus for new hires is disgusting.

I had two older women stare at me in a pharmacy because I wasn’t going to come closer to them while they were blocking the aisle. “Oh he’s just doing what we’re supposed to be doing...”
