Agreed that it's pretty abysmal from the factory, but with a rear rollbar, lower and stiffer springs, camber bolts, 8" wide wheels and 205 width tires, it actually handles really well. Still wouldn't buy one if your commute requires highway driving, but around town I couldn't ask for more.

Fuck yeah 9000 Aero. Fixing mine up right now.

And that's why I like my Fit. With a short ram, the induction noises are fun, too. Floor it everywhere, get 29mpg. The only downside to such a small motor is the difficulty of passing on a 2 lane highway.

This is the post that got me on jalopnik. One of my friends told me he was wanting to save for a super replica. It smelled like bullshit, so when I googled "super replica scam," this article came up.

I didn't see the original in HD on YouTube, or I would have.

So this classic Akira scene is bosozoku taken to the extreme?

Fuck yeah 9000 Aero.

Tiff Needel is the man.

My brother's '88 900 turbo passed the 300k mile mark a few months ago. He hasn't had to do anything expensive to it since he bought it at 280k miles.

I didn't think any scene would even top "two idiots, one keyboard." I was wrong.

Well I could list the 94 aero I spent $1500 on for $5500, and the parts to fix it and mods to take it to 500 HP would still be under 10 grand. Seriously. Unfortunately eBay has a listing fee. So you'll have to use your imagination.

Fuck it. Brb, figuring out the exact prices for the mods I need, subtracting that from 10k, and listing my 94' Aero on ebay. Just to prove a point.

I'd post the guide to building a 500hp Saab 9000 again but eBay doesn't have any that qualify. (94-98 manual 2.3 turbo).

I refuse to believe that this is real.

It's a lease.

Wow, my junkyard Saab has had less problems than that.

Great analogy. My dad has had 10 Saabs throughout his life. Two were purchased new, and he regrets spending that much.

Late response, sorry. But in the original post, tav mentioned: "You can add modifications, as long as it doesn't go over the total budget." $3k 9000 + the mods needed to make it fast is a lot less than 10 grand.

As big of a Saab fan as I am, I still have to say CP. You can get a lot of car with 37 G's. This is not a lot of car.
