So let me get this straight- this motherfucker publishes an extended paean to herbal tea, but he hates fall. I may have to cancel my Deadspin subscription. Or at the very least stop home delivery and just read online.

I haven’t been to a boring, bad, or unpleasant wedding since my half-sister’s very large and tacky one in the mid-90's, when I was like 13. Every wedding I’ve been to as an adult has been a fun and touching celebration of people I either adore (my friends’ weddings) or just met but am willing to gamble on being…
Charcoal is wonderful, but you know what else is pretty good? Turning a knob, pressing a button, and having a hot grill ten minutes later and then not having to deal with a cauldron of ashes a couple hours after the meal. That’s decent, too.
Agreed. In fairness, any second half of the MNF opening doubleheader without a Berman or Dilfer sighting is a win in my book.
Every one involved in this broadcast was horrible, including the video and sound engineers in the truck. Beth sounded like a parody of a sports announcer, Rex was just plain dull and cliche-ridden, and the sideline reporter sounded like a special needs child. The color was off on some cameras making the Broncos look…
I think Beth is doing fine. Rex, not so much. They don’t have good energy together. Rex wasn’t really adding anything in the first half (I think he added two comments in the opening drive), which has created a lot of awkward silences. Also: the sound mix is super weird. Their voices are coming through flat and low.…
Good gods, can we get Rex a coaching job somewhere so he’s not ever doing this ever again? Surely the Browns have SOMETHING he could do.
And yet he’s still better than Beth and Rex. It is painful.

Flyover Country dismissal by the sports media, in large part.
So your theory rests on the idea that these police officers cleared the area but somehow missed Bennett when they were doing so? Interesting.
Sure, two things no reasonable person would do while in the area of a potential active shooter would be running or hiding. That kind of activity in that context is so very very suspicious.
It’s tricky to claim he fit the description of the shooter if there was no shooter.
Fit the description of what? The police didn’t even know what happened.
Yes, it’s starting to seem unlikely that all these body cams just happen to be off when terrible things happen.
All true. The real question is whether a random dog in shorts could do a better job than this particular dog in shorts. And maybe be a bit more intelligently run along the way. As Samer said, it’s exhausting.
Isn’t the purpose of a shield to be thrown at bad guys?
How dare he negotiate for a contract! The nerve!
