Any theories on what conspires to keep her from winning a race?

Wanna know what I think?

As an owner of a ML 430, the sales and service department of MB is top notch. Pricey? Hell freakin' yeah, but they treat you very good, this is what is sorely lacking at GM or Ford or even Chrysler dealerships.

As a 3x W-Body owner, I completely agree here. (95 Cutlass Supreme 2 door - 3.4L DOHC motor - victim of 3 separate accidents - it actually totaled a car that hit me and I drove home fine, 92 Grand Prix SE 2 door w/ B4U package, and 02 Impala LS.) Getting the tail to slide out on that Cutlass was fun..

My dad had an S-Class Mercedes with a manual transmission back in the 80's. It was a custom AMG 'show car' imported from Germany back when you could do such things. 540SE AMG wide body conversion, one of only a handful of four door wide bodies ever to exist...

I've asked Ralph Gilles to come in and hopefully clear some of this up.

They activate the rev-match feature on downshifts.

I can't believe he didn't mention how ridiculously small the trunk is on them lol. I loved mine, watching this makes me want to get mine back.

Doug Demuro drove one for a while - after reading his book, I can say that as long as you don't drive over 30 miles a day, I'd take it. Otherwise, yes, yes there is.

It's funny how when I first got my E90 my neighbor complimented me and called me a big shot when his new mazda cost much more than it.

Why yes. Yes, I am excited!

Thanks! s63...the older model with the 6.2...

I have a C55 AMG, what'd you buy? And welcome to the club!

If it was a one off how does it count as production?

The Shogun!

Buffalo Bill is working on the trump card right now....

The dealer model is much like the reseller model. Look at what happened when Google tried to sell their Nexus One direct from them. It turned out horribly because they were not in the business of direct customer support and warranty. Resellers (dealers) are meant to be the buffer between customer and manufacturer.

I've loved STS' (the edgy styled ones) since a buddy gave me his to watch while he went on a business trip. It's comfy, I loved the Bose stereo and it ate up miles well. I'd gladly trade my 530i for one if I found one similiar. I'll give up the "sportiness" for comfort - gas and maintenance are expensive enough to

I always considered the CTS to be a 3 series competitor. The STS (better looking then the CTS to me) is closer in size to a 5 series I think.
