The way I read it is Ford would want to remove more 3rd party suppliers and keep their own workers making components. So, there would or could still be a net loss of jobs, just not at Ford, but at suppliers.

People still regularly put diesel in their gas cars or vice versa because they just dont know. “Car go vroom vroom” is basically the extent of knowledge many people have about their vehicles. It wont get any better with EV’s
first time on my road trip with my Bolt EUV up the grapevine I took whatever spot was available. And after first time pulling up to one that wasn’t working, I’d go to one where someone just pulled out of, charge rate be damned.
Yeah, these people aren’t being educated by the dealer. They just go “number bigger, use bigger”. The post sale survey of my Hummer EV included asking if I had been educated on my car’s charge rate, how to DC fast charge, etc...and they hadn’t I just knew enough because I had educated myself.
A push from the government to drastically increase the number of BEVs on the road combined with tax incentive would boost car sales and create more jobs in theory. And as was also mentioned, but tax incentives are based on US soil production, so it would theoretically bring more jobs back to the US as well.
Panther is still a safe bet with a few caveats. Avoid 2003s due to the axle issue unless it's already been fixed. Check for rust behind the rear bumper covers, and front frame rails usually near the sway bar mounts. Ideally avoid CVPIs unless they are extremely low mileage and low idle time. Finally as with most cars,…

I’ve been thinking a lot about this incident and the take that resources were potentially wasted on five billionaires. I have thoughts, but no blog or anything so, I’m going to share them here.
They would save the feces to grow potatoes.
Yes the Flex seems a very good candidate here. Of the authors choices I’d say the Outback is the best option. Honorable mention to the venerable X-Terra, though they did make them up until the 2015 model year so still perhaps an option, but might be hard to track down a suitable one.
Thats my biggest problem with this car. The Mustang for sure is less stealthy than the Acura and not as precise of a machine. However, aftermarket is massive for the Mustang and so is the inventory of barely used GT Premiums with a PP.
Yeah, I actually like the sausage, egg and cheese ones.
As the local Ford Flex apologist, I concur.
60% of the time, your argument is valid every time.
50 Ways to Leave a Takeover
Saw a video on Reddit - apparently the survivors pulled him out of his SUV and worked him over before the cops arrived.
4th Gear: Will VinFast hurry up and file their IPO so I can short that dog to zero, please?
I don’t think this restoration even counts as halfass. Maybe quarterass? For a quarter of the price I’d be on board. Asking $20,000 for it in this condition is Wormwood Motors level dealership bullshit.
After all this build up and hype, I’d very much enjoy seeing Fast and Furious XI come out as: “My Dinner With Dante”.
“Hey, we just met...and this is crazy...gonna drive to ‘Bama...find me maybe...”
