She strikes me as a savvy, smart twentysomething who makes the same mistakes that everyone makes in their twenties, but because of how popular her twitter account has become, it has simultaneously made her have to become more responsible and more full of herself.

For what it’s worth, I dated someone for a short time

I haven’t seen anyone in here defending Duca. Just people wondering if this self-described “gossip” is worth trying to publicly sabotage someone’s career over.

Honestly, it sounds like Duca’s behavior was possibly sloppy and a bit mean spirited, if she did anything at all, which you acknowledge she may not have. Sorry, but this piece just comes across as petty.

In hindsight it’s pretty clear that Trump’s 2015 “I like people who don’t get caught” comment about McCain was a watershed moment for the GOP. Until that point, Trump had of course said a lot of horrible and stupid things, but he hadn’t really attacked and disgraced anything that the GOP held as absolute sacrosanct.

Hi. Anyone willing to leave a $100 gift card is welcome to jinni’s wedding.

Answer: no, it’s not cool. Plus it assumes that the person owes you response - which they don’t, and especially not if you seem pre-determined to write a hit piece about them, as this writer was probably pretty clearly always intending to do.

I appreciate that the main point of this article is Lauren Duca in general, but hold on:

Is the left unhealthily obsessed with cancellation culture and sniping at each other rather than focusing on our real enemies?

Did you just write a 4,500 word story about how a young woman who has become a figurehead for the resistance for other young women once wrote some bitchy anonymous emails when she was 23?

Oh, calm down. It does not hurt you if I have beliefs. You’re why atheists get a bad name. And that’s coming from my atheist partner.

I’m Jewish. We don’t believe in trying to “earn points” to get to Heaven, because we should act like good people on Earth just because it’s what God wants us to do and we need to repair the world.  As such, I try not to judge people or wish ill will on them.

Oh god, the Wait Time sermons. As opposed to the mighty USA, where my mother has to schedule appointments with her specialist... a year in advance.

I’m in Canada. I went to a clinic on Wednesday for back pain. Got a same day appointment. Waited about 15 minutes. Got a prescription for pain medication. Went to another clinic for an x-ray. Waited less than 1 minute. All told I lost about 1 hour of work and paid a total of $9 (for the medication.) I’m so happy I’m

There is an article floating around the internet somewhere about stuff that was not shown in previous episodes. Like, in one case, Karamo helping a guy edit his resume and driving him to a job interview. With the first guy, they showed Antoni teaching him to make guacamole but did not show Antoni helping him

Happy, healthy, and well treated dogs don’t constantly bark.

You have to miss something or you wouldn’t check out each synopsis with every episode and make some idiotic post about not watching the show anymore. Get over it and stop commenting on it if you are truly done with the show.

If Dog dies, we riot.

This season of Queer Eye seems to have knocked it out of the park, IMHO. They seemed to have digested the little bit of valid criticism out there and strengthened their message.

Who gives a shit, it’s a good show.
