Two other options are to require weighed purchases at self-checkout to require an employee override, or do away with weighing purchases entirely by prepackaging produce and putting barcodes on it.

The airport will let you have the backpack.
No, they hold their press conferences offsite. For instance, last year EA held their press conference at the Hollywood Palladium, not at the Los Angeles Convention Center where the actual E3 event was taking place.
They’re avoiding the need to deal with E3 staff.
They replaced Beyond Good & Evil 2 with Beyond Good & Evil 0.
There’s no way I’d take another shot at getting a burger. I’d just go somewhere else that will sell me exactly what I want. In fact, if I knew in advance that a restaurant had a loot-box style menu, there’s no way I’d eat there in the first place.
Agreed. I don’t like loot boxes, but even if I did, I hate the idea that they’re used to prey on people’s addictions. Direct purchases of items make so much more sense. After all, when I go to a restaurant, I don’t pay money for a random chance at the food item I want to eat. I don’t care if a food item is…
I realize that I’m late to the party on this, but remember that the part you wear on the headset is the receiver. The transmitter that actually broadcasts the 60GHz signal is going to be mounted on a wall, not on top of your head.
Fair Use can actually take you quite far. Nobody would claim PepsiCo and The Coca Cola Company to be non-profits, yet somehow PepsiCo is able to get away with using actual Coca Cola products in several Pepsi commercials.
You missed the point of the article. It’s not about the obvious point about adaptibility being key. It’s about discussing a specific example of WHY adaptibility is key.
Cousin Eddie would probably love it as-is for a summer home.
For what it’s worth, so long as movies or TV shows don’t commit actual crimes in the process of filming, any and all subjects can in fact be made into movies and TV shows. Child pornography is the subject that comes the closest to being banned, since there’s no legal way to incorporate children into such productions…
It really shows how much of a cash cow loot boxes must be if he’s advocating for developers to essentially challenge government regulation by refusing to change. At this point, I think I’d prefer ro see loot boxes get banned entirely, even at the risk of trading card games getting caught as collateral damage.
On the other hand:
Jokes should be funny, but it’s not necessary for them to be. If jokes had to be funny, nobody would know who Adam Sandler is.
If the wingtip can flutter uncontrollably, that sounds like bad wing design. It the wingtip generates lift, it should have a tendency to fold to the vertical position, with air pressure keeping it there. Based on diagrams of wingtip vortices, it looks like the vortices might also help keep the wingtips vertical.…
Agreed.
Maybe some of school faculty should be suspended instead for their obvious failings in teaching grammar.
That I can agree with, but that’s a pretty low bar to clear.
It’s a long stretch of residential neighborhood on one side of the road, and a walkway bordering the shoreline on the other. Seems like a pretty reasonable place for someone to go for a walk—with or without a baby.
