I’m really upset by this. If they wanted to make an easy mode, I could live with that. But now I’ll have trouble recommending the game to friends, because the game they would play is different from the one I played. The dev says that they don’t aim to please everybody, but that seems to be exactly what motivated this…

This seems like an easy problem to solve, seeing as how video games and real life are two different things.
